Imagine receiving the breastfeeding care and education you seek in the comfort of your own home. Dress in whatever is most comfortable.  The visit includes a detailed discussion of your concerns, the health history of mom and baby, reviewing the pregnancy and birth experience, pertinent physical exam of mom and baby, observing the baby feeding, practicing breastfeeding techniques, a detailed plan for addressing your concerns, and written plan for follow-up.  A letter summarizing the visit will be e-mailed to you and sent to the referring physician, midwife or nurse practitioner. Both parents are encouraged to participate in the visit and other family members are welcomed upon mom’s request.
